The Lobster app is an independent music discovery app designed to make it easier to find gigs and music artists in your area, and discover new music. We want to give a platform for small and emerging artists to share their original music with an audience that loves discovering and supporting new music, live gigs and small venues. The App allows artists to upload their music and gig dates, and fans to play music and search for artists and gigs in their local area. The Lobster app also gives small and grassroots venues a platform to upload upcoming gigs.     

We love seeing live gigs and discovering new music, for us there is something so special about going to see a gig in a local, independent venue, and we wished there was something to make this easier. We also felt that with so many smaller and grassroots venues closing and emerging artists increasingly fighting against algorithms and AI, we wanted to do something to try to protect the live music ecosystem. We want to keep creativity, pay on the door, sticky floors, passion, seeing your mates band, merch on pub tables, community, personality, borrowing a spare mic and all the things that make these spaces and these artists so irreplaceable.
